A parent is a guide. A parent does not control.

What my parents have done independently of one another is to guide me from fact-based observation and acute experience that is relevant to my life, not theirs. When those lines have been blurred at times (because they are not perfect), they’ve been sure to be the first ones to acknowledge their shortcoming. They did so before I could ever clearly identify what their shortcomings were because of my skewed position as their child.

In my view, these intentional and introspective forms of parenting have been distinct in contrast to the traditional parent who acts from a perspective relative to their own lives rather than the lives of their children. My parents’ Behavioral RNA™️ is derived from a force deeper than their nature. Behavioral RNA™️ excludes their nature because of how intrinsic their actions and reactions to difficult parenting situations were. At the nucleus of one’s behavior is one’s freedom beyond personality and circumstance. There exists the original strand of what makes a person behave as they do. While interactions can alter behavior via circumstances and environment, Behavioral RNA™️ is the infrastructure for one’s personality, self-analysis, and reputation in the social world. This is not to be confused with social media which is largely based on performance which is more relatable to illusion than anything tangible and/or real.

Behavioral RNA™️ maintains its structure from childhood through parenthood and is analogous to one’s birth date. All events in a human’s life are based on when they were born — from their current age to the estimated time of death. The infrastructure of a person’s being is largely rooted in the baseline of their birth. This analogy is 1-to-1 with Behavioral RNA™️. It is the foundation for one’s interaction with not only the world but one’s interaction with themselves (in contrast to the perception of self). This baseline of Behavioral RNA™️ can be measured from birth as a reliable source of being part of a human.

What kind of parent do you think you would be/are based on your Behavioral RNA™️?
