Driving the life out of the car.
While still keeping the tires in check and as cool as possible, the best F1 racers in the sport since the 1950s have always been able to push the limits without limiting the push. This idea should be used to maximize one’s goals and objectives, both personally and in business. While everyone has the capability of reaching their own level of maximizing, not everyone will be self-reflective enough — combined with putting in the refinement hours — to extract what is needed from this life goal as fast and as far as possible without burnout.
A perfect example of this was Lewis Hamilton’s race in Singapore. Each lap resembled a perfect dance, rhythm, and cadence. His gifts go beyond the creativity of engineering. Sir Lewis has the ability to extract the most while embodying the least friction from the car. It’s one thing to be the fastest. It’s an entirely different skill set — both in racing and in life — to master the wear and tear of management, whether it be of tires and/or of self.
