Perception is Not Reality
The basis of living parallels but rarely intersects with the natural hostility and cruelty of nature. Hence, my personal observation is that perception is not reality, especially but not limited to the first world. The first world defines perception and its affiliated emotions with reality. This can seem true in many instances because of the sheer power and intellect of delusion supported by the infrastructure and social constructs that surround us, but in the end, everyone’s end is near. We as humans (especially privileged humans in the first world) do not understand the difference between the comfort of blissful ignorance and the reality of those that cannot afford comfort in any regard known to them or their culture. This is the intersection where money/wealth comes in and plays the biggest role in the degree to which our perception deviates from universal reality.
