The distinction between the help of a result and the help of hope.
The help of a result is a very different mindset and process that goes through the brutal nature of consistency, daily accountability, and performance that few people in this world ever acquire, much less maintain. The help of hope is the most common. People do the best they can, which ends up being a nebulous concept of throwing everything at the wall, seeing what sticks, and hoping there is progression. The help of a result is brutal because there are goals set and clear, defined objectives to measure failure. Therefore, “doing the best you can” in this framework is insufficient, much less relevant. The help of a result naturally and intrinsically takes all excuses, storylines, and justifications out of the picture and narrowly focuses on a result. As a result, this category is a very different kind of help.
