There is a standard in business that cannot be denied. As humanity gets more sophisticated, the standard improves and becomes better than it was yesterday. However, the standard of the individual in business requires a different area of knowledge than the technical, scholar-instructed, overly complex ideas of business schools and corporate-run business managers.

Navigating the traditional wisdom of business is manageable, especially with higher education, because higher education teaches you how to think. However, what it doesn’t teach anyone is how to take action on an individual level. This blind spot in education has left and continues to leave many blind to the downsides of the unknowns that are unknown in the business sector of any vertical. This has translated into a loss of confidence in many.

A job of any kind will never be able to provide the stability we all need in life. This is the case for a myriad of reasons, most of which we cannot control. Therefore, my thought process is always to stay focused on what can be controlled. All the other things are what you make it or how you perceive it, never what it actually is. Meaning: if two people start in a low-level job, there is a chance to go nowhere…
