Keeping a promise is more than just an agreement. It is a reputation that affects the relationship one has with themself. It is most important to recognize that integrity lies within the infrastructure of keeping a promise. Without it, one is not making a promise but rather making noise that sound like words. Words matter, but the structured action alongside those structured words matter the most. Peace within a person dictates the depth of detail given in a promise. This detail must be held together by one’s principles. Those principles are derived from integrity first, second and third. The importance of keeping a promise is usually learned in the household where almost everything is not only taught but role modeled. One of the most important things taught to a child is how, when, and why to make, keep, and break promises. This typically guides the framework of the individual’s reality in general terms which determines how they interact with the concept of a promise. While Behavioral RNA™️ always plays a major role in behavior, the foundation of an individual’s household predicts the future of how that behavior expresses itself in the world. A large part of that expression is how others are treated in terms of making, breaking, and/or keeping promises.

What is the most important promise you’ve ever kept or broken?
