The most accurate measurement of free speech has nothing to do with being right.

All free speech is predicated on being heard. Not necessarily being listened to. Therefore, any one particular individual or group speaking freely must recognize the two most fundamental and notable points of free speech:

  1. No one is required to listen, no matter the merit and logic of the point.
  2. Freedom of speech means freedom of criticism. Therefore, if one speaks, criticism will always be in direct proportion.

Whatever one feels deserves respect. That is their comfort zone. Everyone is entitled to their comfort zone.
