Think Long Term, Don’t Plan It

Thinking long-term is vital for a notable life. A notable life is one of contentment and inner peace. Since life is singularly a platform for learning, it is incumbent on the individual to overcome their Behavioral RNA™️ traits that don’t work positively for the benefit of the long term. For example, I am hard and fast in my approach to life. I, therefore, had to learn to overcome my intensity in the areas it didn’t serve me and become slower and more steady. This is an example of confronting the discomfort of tackling a mindset. The alternative was not just different than my own but the complete opposite. I had to confront this dissonance at a young age when choices seem unlimited as well as optional. This example demonstrates the concept of thinking long-term without creating the confines and idealism of making plans that will inevitably change for everyone in all circumstances. Instead of making fixed plans which can (and do) break when confronted with life’s vicissitudes, we can think and act in ways that will favor who and what we want to become in the long term.

What are some of the plans that you attempted to set in stone just for those stones to be broken into rubble as if they didn’t exist in the first place?
