Tumbling Class

I believe everyone needs to take their own version of tumbling class to be able to look at early failures as a tumbling class. It’s important in life to know not just how to get back up after being hit but also how to fall without being broken.

The lie of fear will prevent you from doing the things in life required to succeed by being afraid to fall. Falling is a prerequisite for success.

Not only getting up but the way you get up is a prerequisite to maintaining success as it is one aspect to attain; it is a completely different, much harder, and much rarer aspect to maintain. Once this distinction is made in one’s mind, it can be deployed into the body to be resilient against the inevitable failures we all face in striving to do what we believe is best for us in life.

Part of treating oneself with kindness is working to earn what one deserves. In the pursuit of success, it’s crucial to recognize the role of unwavering work ethic and sustained focus over an extended period. The ability to perform under pressure consistently, not just for a short duration but over the course of years and even decades, is an element beyond talent and the only factor I’ve seen produce results with consistency. With this comes the necessity for understanding how to adapt, learn, and recover from failure.
